Adam S. Bennion (1886-1958) Adam S. Bennion was born December 2, 1886. He was ordained to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on April 9, 1953 to replace the vacancy caused by Elder John A. Widtsoe's death. Elder Bennion died February 11, 1958 at Salt Lake City, Utah. He served less than five years in the quorum, but he was esteemed highly by his brethren. Upon his passing, Hugh B.
