September 20, 1975) is an Italy|Italian television
and film actor|actress and film director|director.

Born in Rome, Italy, she was directed in one of
her first works Trauma (movie)|Trauma (1993) by
her father, Dario Argento, and also had her first
(of many) nude scene in the film, when she was 16.
She also film director|directed and writer|wrote
her first movie called Scarlet Diva (2000). Four
years later she directed her second movie, The
Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things (2004), this
time in the United States.

She is currently set to star as French royal
mistress Madame du Barry in Sofia Coppola's biopic
of Marie Antoinette.

She gave birth to her first child, a girl named
Anna Lou, on June 20, 2001, with Italian rock and
roll musician Morgan as the father. Her first name
is pronounced as ä-SEE-uh.
