B
Barbara Anderson (born 1926) is a New Zealand
writer who has become internationally recognised
despite only starting her writing career in her
late fifties.

Born in Hastings, New Zealand, she was educated at
University of Otago|Otago University where she
graduated with a Bachelor of Science|BSc degree in
1947.  After a career as a medical technologist
and teacher, she went back to university in
Wellington, New Zealand|Wellington where she
graduated with a Bachelor of Arts|BA degree from
Victoria University, Wellington in 1984.
