Barbara Carrera (born December 31,1951) is a film and Television|TV actress. She was born in Managua, Nicaragua, the daughter of a United States|US ambassador and a Nicaraguan mother. She began a career as a model at the Eileen Ford agency at the age of 17, and was much sought due to her toned physique and beautiful features. Her first appearance on the screen was a publicity role for the Chiquita bananas. Her first film role was as a fashion model in Puzzle of a Downfall Child (1970 in film|1970), which fared poorly at the box office. She later played in such films as The Island of Dr. Moreau, Condorman, Point of Impact, Tryst, and Embryo. Barbera Carrera is perhaps best known for her role as the villainess Fatima Blush in the James Bond movie Never Say Never Again. She also played a part in the television series Dallas (TV series)|Dallas as Angelica Nero, and was in the historical TV series Masada. She is an artist, and her paintings have been hung in the Hollywood Entertainment Museum. Barbara Carrera has married (and divorced) the model Uva Barden, Baron Otto von Hoffman, and the Greece|Greek shipowner Nicholas Mavroleon. At some point she was involved with scientology, but left shortly afterward.
