Biography
C
Craig Perks (b. January 6 1967 Palmerston North) is a professional golfer from New Zealand who plays on the PGA Tour. Perks took a golf scholarship to the University of Southwestern Louisiana in the United States. He turned professional in 1993, and played on the second tier Nike Tour for several seasons. He became a member of the PGA Tour after a tie for 35th in the 1999 Qualifying School earned him his tour card for the following season. In 2002 he won The Players Championship which is generally regarded as the fifth most prestigious individual tournament in men's golf after the four majors, and he was the 2002 New Zealand Sportsman of the Year. Apart from that shock big win his form has been erratic, with no other wins and a high proportion of missed cuts. ==External links== *http://www.pgatour.com/players/bio/149616 Profile on the PGA Tour's official site *http://www.golfstarsonline.com/P/Craig_Perks/ Golf Stars Online - links to features and articles
