Damien Duff (born 2 March 1979 in Ballyboden, Dublin) is an Republic of Ireland|Irish football (soccer)|football player. He is a midfielder (more precisely a winger (sport)|winger) who plays club football for FA Premier League|English Premiership power Chelsea F.C.|Chelsea and internationally for the Republic of Ireland national football team|Republic of Ireland. Duff joined Chelsea from Blackburn Rovers for 17 million pounds. In the early part of the 2004-2005 season, Duff formed a powerful partnership with Chelsea's other left winger, Arjen Robben; with the two players switching sides from wing to wing and terrorising Premiership defences. Duff got his wishes when he won the English Premiership with Chelsea during his second season wearing the blue of London. footybio-stub
