Doon Mackichan (born 1962, Fife, Scotland) is a British comedian. She is probably best known as one of the writers and stars of the Channel 4 comedy series Smack the Pony. Prior to this she appeared in Chris Morris's BBC comedy series The Day Today, where she played a number of roles, including business news reporter Collaterlie Sisters, and his controversial Channel 4 comedy series Brass Eye. She also regulary appeared in the popular comedy series Knowing Me, Knowing You. She was a contestant in the 2003 BBC charity singing contest, Fame Academy|Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, in which she came fourth. She also had a part in the 1998 movie, The Borrowers, in which she played the part of Victoria Lender, and the 1995 comedy Glam Metal Detectives.
