Ethel Barrymore (15 August, 1879 – 18 June, 1959) was a United States actor|actress of the famous Barrymore family. She was highly regarded as a theater|stage actor in New York City for decades before she moved to Hollywood, California and started working in film|motion pictures. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1944 film None but the Lonely Heart.
