Giacinto Facchetti (born 18 July, 1942 in Bergamo) was an Italy|Italian soccer|football player. Since January 2004, he has been President of Internazionale, the team for which he played for his whole career during the 1960s and 1970s playing over 400 league matches for the Nerazzurri. For Italy national football team|Italy, Facchetti was capped 94 times (a record at the time), scoring three goals. He played for his country at the Football World Cup 1966|1966, Football World Cup 1970|1970, and Wc|1974s, and was part of the winning Italian squad at Ec|68. Facchetti was named by Pelé as one of the FIFA 100|top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004. footybio-stub
