Henry Bennion Eyring (born May 31 1933 in Princeton, New Jersey) is an Apostle (Mormonism)|apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was the second child born to Henry Eyring and his wife Mildred Bennion. Eyring was sustained to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church on April 1 1995, and ordained an apostle following the death of President Howard W. Hunter. He is the son of noted chemist Henry Eyring and the nephew of Camilla Eyring Kimball, wife of President Spencer W. Kimball. Before serving as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, he served as president of Ricks College (now Brigham Young University-Idaho) and then as a Counselor in the Church's Presiding Bishopric. Before these ecclesiastical appointments, Eyring followed in the footsteps of his father and worked as a scientist. He has a B.S. in Physics from the University of Utah and masters degree|Masters and PhD|Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard University.
