Ivan Bella (Brezno, Slovakia on May 25, 1964 - ) is a research cosmonaut from Slovakia and the first Slovak-born person to enter space (the first Slovak to enter space was a U.S. astronaut of Slovak origin). Married with two children. Selected as cosmonaut March 23, 1998. Flew Soyuz TM-29 as Research Cosmonaut February 20 - February 28, 1999. Retired on February 28, 1999. astronaut-stub
