Jan Matejko, also Jan Mateyko (b. June 24, 1838 in Kraków — November 1, 1893 in Kraków, Poland) was a prominent Poland|Polish painter. He is well known for his historical and military works like Battle of Grunwald, as well as for the gallery of Polish kings.
