Biography of Jerry Kelly - Golfer
Biography
J
Jerry Kelly (born in Madison, Wisconsin on November 23 1966) is an United States|American golfer. He graduated from the University of Hartford in 1989 and turned professional that year, but didn't make it onto the PGA Tour until 1996. This followed a successful 1995 season on the second tier Nike Tour, when he won two tournaments. His career year to date is 2002, when he won the PGA Tour's Sony Open in Hawaii and Advil Western Open. These remain his only PGA Tour wins, but has continued to play well, with ten top ten finishes in 2003 and eight in 2004. Kelly was an all-city ice hockey selection in high school and he has said that his hockey background may have hurt his golf early in his career, because of the aggressiveness it encourages him to bring to his game. ==External links== *http://www.pgatour.com/players/intro/132048 Profile on the PGA Tour's official site *http://www.golfstarsonline.com/K/Jerry_Kelly/ Golf Stars Online - links to features and profiles golf-stub
