Joe-Max Moore (born February 23, 1971 in Tulsa,
Oklahoma|Tulsa, Oklahoma) is a former American
soccer striker|forward, who last played for the
New England Revolution of Major League Soccer.

Moore played college soccer at UCLA from 1990 to
1993.  In 1994, he left the United States to
pursue opportunities overseas, joining 1. FC
Saarbrücken|FC Saarbruecken in Germany, and later
1. FC Nürnberg|FC Nurnberg.

Moore's first stint with the Revs was between 1996
and 1999, during which time he became the club's
all-time leading scorer. He returned to the
Revolution in 2003, having spent the previous
three years playing for Everton F.C.|Everton in
the English FA Premier League|Premiership, where
he had a good deal of initial success, but had
trouble finding any playing time in his later
years. His playing time back in New England was
limited by injuries as well. In his six years in
MLS, Moore scored 41 goals and added 35 assists
for 111 points, the assists and points being Rev
records through the 2004 season.

Moore's first appearance for the United States
men's national soccer team|US national team came
against Canada men's national soccer team|Canada
on September 3, 1992. He played in the Football
World Cup 1998|1998 and Football World Cup
2002|2002 World Cups and became the sixth US
player to earn 100 caps, doing so against Poland
national football team|Poland.

On January 27, 2005, Moore announced his
retirement from professional soccer.  His 24 goals
for the US ranked third in national history at the
time of his retirement, behind Eric Wynalda and
Brian McBride.
