Johnny Famechon (1945-) is an Australian featherweight boxer. He was born in France on the 27th March 1945. Over his twenty-year career he became known as a tough fighter, winning 64 of his 69 fights, including being World Boxing Council|WBC featherweight champion in 1969. In 1971, after he retired from boxing, he wrote an autobiography called Fammo. He suffered an injury in 1991, and has been making a slow recovery since. Australia-bio-stub
