Jolene Blalock quote

Jolene Blalock

Jolene Blalock frase

Jolene Blalock

J
Jolene Blalock (born March 5 1975 in San Diego,
California) is an United States|American actress
best known for playing Sub-Commander T'Pol, a
Vulcan (Star Trek)|Vulcan in Star Trek:
Enterprise. Prior to Enterprise, her highest
profile role was playing Medea in a 2000
adaptation of Jason and the Argonauts.

She appears in the upcoming film Slow Burn with LL
Cool J and Ray Liotta (filmed in 2003 and awaiting
release as of April 2005), and appeared in a
high-profile guest starring role on an episode of
the series Stargate SG-1 that is expected to
become recurring.

On April 30 2003 she married Michael Rapino. In a
twist from usual convention, she proposed to him
rather than the other way around.

A popular model, Jolene has appeared on the cover
of many men's lifestyle magazines and also posed
for a clothed fashion layout in Playboy in 2002.

Until recently, Blalock has expressed reluctance
to participate in Star Trek conventions. She made
an emotional first appearance at a convention in
Pasadena, California in March 2005. Her second
appearance was at an autograph signing show in
Milton Keynes, England in late April which was
soon followed by an appearance at a convention in
Bonn, Germany. She is now considered to be
involved in the convention circuit, with more
appearances planned in 2005.

A self-confessed "Trekkie" and big fan of Star
Trek: The Original Series, she has been openly
critical of Enterprise during its third and fourth
season. She has stated that she felt that the
show was lacking creatively, and that the show's
producers were out of touch with Trek fans
(although she called the fourth season a distinct
improvement over what came before). Her views
have proven controversial with some fans. During
the spring of 2005, she was quoted in a Toronto
Star interview and at her Pasadena convention
appearance as calling the Enterprise finale
episode, "These Are the Voyages... (ENT
episode)|These Are the Voyages..." "appalling"

although the reasons for this opinion were not
initially reported. (In a later interview, Blalock
expanded upon this by saying that she was upset
that the final episode focuses more upon
characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation
than Enterprise.)

Blalock's 30th birthday on March 5, 2005,
coincided with the filming of her final scenes as
T'Pol.

Blalock's interests include surfing and art.
