Kenny Perry (born August 10, 1960 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky) is an United States|American professional golfer. Perry attended Western Kentucky University and turned professional in 1982. His career developed slowly but steadily. He didn't become a member of the PGA TOUR until 1987, and in his first few seasons he found it a struggle to retain this status, but he attained his first win in 1991 at the prestigious Memorial Tournament. Two more wins followed in the mid 1990s, and another in 2001, but Perry's best season came in 2003, the year he turned 43, when he picked up three victories. He was in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings for a short time. Perry picked up his eighth and ninth wins on tour in 2005 at the Bay Hill Invitational and the Bank of America Colonial. ==PGA TOUR wins== *1991 Memorial Tournament *1994 New England Classic *1995 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic *2001 Buick Open *2003 Bank of America Colonial, Memorial Tournament, Greater Milwaukee Open *2005 Bay Hill Invitational, Bank of America Colonial ==National teams== *Presidents Cup: 1996, 2003 *Ryder Cup: 2004 ==External link== *http://www.pgatour.com/players/bio/132092 Profile on the PGA Tour's official site *http://www.golfstarsonline.com/P/Kenny_Perry/ Golf Stars Online - links to features and profiles sportbio-stub
