Kim Schraner (born 1976 in Toronto) is a
Canada|Canadian actor|actress, who stars in the
children's spy TV series Spynet, shown nationally
on CBC Television.

She has been the star of Spynet, since its
inception.  At first it was just a weekly short,
that was partly educational, with little plot. 
She was the only regular character.  However, the
the show has progressively expanded to a more
typical half hour drama, with other recurring
characters appearing.  Although, it is still a low
budget production.

Before starring in SpyNet she was a principal cast
member on the Showcase soap opera Paradise Falls
for the first two seasons (52-episodes), shot on
location in Northern Ontario.  As well she was a
character in several movies.  She's been a guest
on several well known shows, such as 
Wild Card (show)|Wild Card,
Mutant X (television)|Mutant X,
Are You Afraid of the Dark? (television)|Are You
Afraid of the Dark?,
Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal,
Forever Knight, and 
Due South.

==Early years==
Schraner studied at the classical piano with the
Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto)|Royal
Conservatory of Music.  She studied ballet through
the Royal Academy of Dance programme.

Schraner started modeling for magazines and TV
commercials at the age of 14.  In 1994 she was
seen widely as the "Oxy Girl" in TV ads.  While
completing her education, she appeared in several
stage productions that included Waiting for Godot,
Uncle Vanya, Top Girls, As You Like It, The
Plague, and others.

Kinski, who played the lessor role in this movie,
was given top billing when the movie was released
