Englishwoman Laura Davies (b. Coventry, 10 May
1963) is the most successful woman golfer the
United Kingdom has produced in recent times. She
is a member of both of the two leading women's
tours, the United States|U.S. based LPGA Tour and
the Ladies European Tour.

As of the end of the 2004 season, Davies has
accumulated 20 official victories on the LPGA
Tour. She finished top of the money list in 1994
and was second in each of the following two years.
At the same date she had more thirty seven
victories on the Ladies European Tour and she
topped that tour's order of merit in 1985, 1986,
1992, 1996, 1999 and 2004. 

Davies was awarded an Order of the British
Empire|OBE in 1988 and a CBE in 2000.
