Before the band came together, each pair of members were playing music together. Tim Rushlow and Dwayne O'Brien began playing together in their native Arlington, Texas, in 1984. Porter Howell and Duane Propes got together while they were in high school in 1983. Brady Seals and Del Gray played in the backup band of country music recording artist Josh Logan. All six members eventually moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where Little Texas was formed. The band played at venues all around Nashville where it caught the attention of the record label, Warner Bros. Records. Warner Bros. signed Little Texas in 1989, and a couple of years later, the band released its first album, First Time For Everything. The album spawned five singles that landed on the Billboard country singles chart. In 1993, Little Texas released its second album, Big Time. Big Time was Little Texas's biggest selling album of their career, selling more than three million copies. It spawned two Billboard Top 5 singles, a Billboard Top 20 single, and the band's only Billboard No. 1 single. 1994 saw the release of Little Texas's third album, Kick a Little. It spawned three more singles in the Billboard country singles chart. In 1995, Brady Seals left Little Texas to pursue a solo career, and was replaced by Jeff Huskins, who had previously played in country singer Clint Black's backing band. Little Texas soldiered on with a greatest-hits album, and a self-titled album that was released in 1997. Unfortunately, that same year, the band split up due to music-business pressures. During their hiatus, Tim Rushlow had success as a solo career, scoring a Top 10 single on the Billboard country charts titled, "She Misses Him." The song was about an elderly woman dealing with her husband suffering from Alzheimer's disease. After his solo career faltered, Tim eventually formed a new band called Rushlow. In 2004, four of Little Texas's members - Duane Propes, Del Gray, Porter Howell, and Dwayne O'Brien - decided to reunite the band. Tim Rushlow and Brady Seals opted not to rejoin with the original lineup. Tim was still having success with his new band while Brady had formed a band of his own called Hot Apple Pie. Little Texas then decided to recruit a new lead singer, Steven Troy, and began touring again. (It is said that when Little Texas reunited, Tim and Brady made an attempt to keep their ex-bandmates from using the Little Texas name.) == Albums == *First Time For Everything (1992) #19 US (Country); #99 US (Pop) *Big Time (1993) #6 US (Country); #55 US (Pop) *Kick a Little (1994) #10 US (Country); #51 US (Pop) *Greatest Hits (1995) #17 US (Country); 82 US (Pop) *Little Texas (1997) #47 US (Country) == Singles == *"Some Guys Have All the Love" (1991) #8 US (Country) *"First Time For Everything" (1992) #13 US (Country) *"You and Forever and Me" (1992) #5 US (Country) *"I'd Rather Miss You" (1993) #16 US (Country) *"What Were You Thinkin'" (1993) #17 US (Country) *"What Might Have Been" (1993) #2 US (Country); #74 US (Pop) *"God Blessed Texas" (1993) #4 US (Country); #55 US (Pop) *"Peaceful Easy Feeling" (1994) #74 US (Country) *"My Love" (1994) #1 US (Country); #83 US (Pop) *"Stop on a Dime" (1994) #14 US (Country) *"Kick a Little" (1994) #5 US (Country) *"Amy's Back in Austin" (1995) #4 US (Country) *"Southern Grace" (1995) #27 US (Country) *"Life Goes On" (1995) #5 US (Country) *"Country Crazy" (1996) #44 US (Country) *"Kiss the Girl" (1996) #52 US (Country) *"Bad For Us" (1997) #45 US (Country) band-stub
