Marina Vlady (Marina De Poliakoff-Baidaroff) (born
10 May 1938) is a France|French actor|actress. She
won the Best Actress Award at the 1963 Cannes Film
Festival for her performance in The Conjugal Bed.
She married Vladimir Vysotsky in 1969. 

Marina Vlady was the sister of actresses Odile
Versois and Helene Vallier; her father was a noted
artist of Russian heritage. Like her siblings, she
began acting in childhood and for a while pursued
a ballet career. Projecting a more

her sisters, she gained international renown (and
a Cannes Festival award) for her work in 1963's
The Conjugal Bed. One of her few English
language|English roles was Kate Percy in Orson
Welles' Chimes at Midnight. Her TV credits include
the 1983 mini series La Chambre des Dames. Marina
Vlady was at one time the wife of actor/film
director|director Robert Hossein.
