Max Bentley (b. March 1, 1920 in Delisle, Saskatchewan|Delisle, Saskatchewan - January 19, 1984) was a Canada|Canadian professional ice hockey forward (ice hockey)|forward who played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and New York Rangers in the National Hockey League. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1966. Max won the 1946 Hart Memorial Trophy. In 1947, he was traded to the Maple Leafs for five players, a huge sum. The trade would pay off as the Leafs won four Stanley Cups in the next five years. His brother Doug Bentley, played with him while with Chicago and is also a member of the Hall of Fame.
