Morgan Pressel (born May 23 1988 in Tampa,
Florida) is a teenage American golf prospect from
Boca Raton, Florida. She has won numerous junior
titles. In 2001 she played in the U.S. Women's
Open (golf)|U.S. Women's Open as a 13 year old. In
2005, at the age of 17, she was one of three
co-leaders going into the final round of the U.S.
Women's Open, and finished in a tie for second
place. Pressel was in position to win when Birdie
Kim chipped in from the bunker on 18 to give her a
one stroke lead. Pressel wasn't able to chip in
from the fairway to tie, and finished in 2nd after
making bogey on the 18th. In 2005, she also won
the U.S. Women's Amateur championship.

Pressel attended Banyan Creek Elementary School
and Omni Middle School. She is currently a senior
at Saint Andrew's School.  The niece of former Top
10 tennis player Aaron Krickstein, Pressel was
featured in an August 2005 issue of Sports
Illustrated.
