Oliver Neuville (born May 1, 1973 in Locarno, Switzerland) is a Swiss-Germany|German football (soccer)|football striker. Neuville started his career in his native Switzerland with Servette FC|Servette (1992-96). He also played in Spain for CD Tenerife|Tenerife (1996-97), before moving to Germany to FC Hansa Rostock|Hansa Rostock (1997-99), Bayer Leverkusen (1999-2004), and Borussia Mönchengladbach (2004-). After electing to represent Germany national football team|Germany internationally, he played in the squad that finished second at the Wc|2002, scoring a goal in the second round against Paraguay national football team|Paraguay. Since his debut against Malta national football team|Malta on September 2, 1998, he has scored a total of four goals from 48 international appearances. In 2004, he scored an infamous hand goal against 1.
