Paolo Rossi (born September 23, 1956 in Santa Lucia, near Prato) was an Italy|Italian football (soccer) player. In 1982, he led Italy national football team|Italy to the Football World Cup 1982|1982 World Cup title, scoring six goals to win the World Cup Golden Boot|Golden Boot. On the club level, Rossi played for Como Calcio|Como, Vicenza Calcio|Vicenza, A.C. Perugia|Perugia, Juventus, A.C. Milan|AC Milan, and Hellas Verona|Verona. With Juventus, he won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1984 and the UEFA Champions League|European Cup in 1985. Rossi scored a total of 20 goals in 48 caps for Italy and other than the 1982 triumph, also played in the Wc|1978.
