Parker Christian Posey (born November 8, 1968) is an United States|American actor|actress best known for her many appearances in independent films. She was born in Laurel, Mississippi and named by her father after the 1950s supermodel Suzy Parker. She and her twin#Fraternal twins|twin brother, Chris, were raised in Mississippi and Louisiana. She attended Purchase College where she roomed with fellow actress Sherry Stringfield and, like Stringfield, her first role was on a soap opera. In Posey's case, it was on As the World Turns. Her first lead role was in Party Girl (1995 in film|1995). She would later go on to prove her dramatic merit with the critically-lauded film Personal Velocity: Three Portraits|Personal Velocity. She has appeared in three of Christopher Guest's Mockumentary|mock documentaries: Waiting for Guffman (1996 in film|1996), Best in Show (movie)|Best in Show (2000 in film|2000), and A Mighty Wind (2003 in film|2003). Her big budget List of Hollywood movie studios|movie studio films include Scream 3 (2000 in film|2000), You've Got Mail (1998 in film|1998), Josie and the Pussycats (movie)|Josie and the Pussycats (2001 in film|2001), and Blade: Trinity (2004 in film|2004).
