Robby Ginepri (born October 7 1982) is an American tennis player who turned professional in 2001. Ginepri was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida|Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He currently lives in Marietta, Georgia. He measures approximately 5'11" (1.80 m) and 174 pounds (79 kg). In 2003, Ginepri lost in the third round of the US Open (tennis)|US Open to Todd Martin. In 2004, Ginepri lost in the fourth round of both the Australian Open, in which he lost to Sébastien Grosjean, and Wimbledon Championships | Wimbledon, in which he lost to Lee Hyung-Taik. In addition, he was a quarterfinalist at the Scottsdale Championships. In August 2005 he reached the semifinal of a Tennis Masters Series tournament for the first time in his career, in Cincinnati Masters|Cincinnati, USA. He beat 2004 French Open runner-up Mariano Puerta (7-6, 6-1) and David Ferrer (6-4, 6-3) in rounds 1 and 2, 1998 French Open champion Carlos Moya (6-3, 6-4) in round 3 and two-time grand slam winner Marat Safin (6-2, 6-3) in the quaterfinal.
