Robert Francis Vaughn (born November 22, 1932) is an United States|American actor noted for stage, screen and TV work. Vaughn was born in New York City into a showbiz family. Vaughn's first notable appearance was as one of The Magnificent Seven, a role he echoed twenty years later in Battle Beyond the Stars. In 1964, he starred as Napoleon Solo, the eponymous The Man from U.N.C.L.E.|Man from U.N.C.L.E., but much of his thunder was stolen by co-star David McCallum. He is currently the only one of the Magnificent Seven who is still alive as of 2005. He married the actress Linda Staab in 1974. On stage: * Portrayed Harry S. Truman and Franklin D.
