Sessue Hayakawa (æ—©å·é›ªæ´² Hayakawa Sessue, June 10, 1889 - November 23, 1973) was a Japanese actor in United States|American films, including two in the United States|U.S. National Film Registry: * The Cheat (film)|The Cheat in 1915 in film|1915 * The Bridge on the River Kwai in 1915 in film|1957, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor For his contribution to the motion picture industry, Sessue Hayakawa was awarded a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1645 Vine Street, in Hollywood, California.
