Shuzo Matsuoka (æ¾å²¡ä¿®é€ , born in November 6, 1967) is a former Japanese professional tennis player. He is one of the contemporaries of Kimiko Date. His best ranking was World No. 46. He turned professional in 1985. His best record in Grand Slam (tennis)|Grand Slam events is Quarterfinalist in Wimbledon 1995. He lost Pete Sampras 7-6, 3-6, 4-6, 2-6. During his tennis career, he suffered from countless injuries. He retired from tennis in April 1998.
